This versatile platform comes in multiple versions designed to suit specific user requirements. One of the most commonly used is its Desktop version. This category of TurboTax products requires users to install the software on their Computer. For this, you must perform a simple TurboTax Download process. 

How To Purchase TurboTax?

1. First of all, you should open an Internet Browser that you commonly use on your computer. For instance, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox etc.
2. Then, access the official website for TurboTax Download. For this, enter “turbotax.intuit.com” in the Address Bar of your Browser. Then, hit the “Enter” key.
3. On the Homepage of TurboTax, you should look at the top right-hand side. Here, you will notice the “Products and Pricing” tab. Hence, place your cursor over it and expand its Menu Box.
4. Now, click on the “CD/ Download products” tab to purchase TurboTax Download.
5. The following window displays all the Desktop version of TurboTax products. Here, you will get complete details of the available products including its price. Hence, browse through the details carefully and select the most suitable product. 
6. After that, click on the “Buy Now” button beneath the selected product.
7. As a result, it will prompt you to select the OS of the device for which you want to purchase TurboTax Download. Hence, make an appropriate selection. 
8. The next window will present you with a detailed price breakdown of the selected product. Hence, closely review the details. Then, click “Continue” to proceed with the Turbotax Download process. 
9. Consequently, it will redirect you to the TurboTax Account Sign In window. Hence, log in to your “TurboTax Account” by following the given instructions:
   • On this TurboTax webpage, you should carefully enter your TurboTax User ID. It is the same User ID that you set at the time of Account Creation.

10. However, in case if you don’t have an existing TurboTax Account. Then, you will have to create a new account. Subsequently, you can log in to the account and access TurboTax Download. You can create your account by following the given steps:
    • On the “TurboTax Account Sign In” window, click on the “Create An Account” tab beneath the “Sign In” button. 
    • Then, provide the required details including Email Address, User ID, Mobile Phone Number and Password.
    • Thereafter, click on “Create Account” to set up your account. 
11. Subsequently, you should provide the required Payment Information correctly.

How To Perform TurboTax Download?

1. To begin with, you must access the Computer where you want to perform the TurboTax Download process. Here, it is important to remember one thing that your system must be using the same OS for which you had purchased the application. For eg., if your purchased subscription is for Windows Device. Then, you should install it on a Windows Device. Similarly, install it on Mac only in case if you purchased it for Mac OS.

4. In order to proceed further with the TurboTax Download process, you will have to Log in to your “TurboTax Account”. Another key point to remember is that you must log in to the same account (User ID/ Email Address) which you used for purchasing this product. 
5. Once you are logged in to your account, look for the “Downloads” tab on your Account’s Dashboard. Then, click on it to open the required webpage for TurboTax Download.
6. The following window will display all the products purchased with this account. Hence, look for the one that you want to install. However, in case if you can’t find the required product on this window. Then, it is possible that you may have purchased it with another TurboTax Account. Therefore, try to check your other Accounts. In case if you are not sure, you can check the same on the Account Recovery page of TurboTax. 
7. Now, click on the highlighted, blue button saying “Download” beside the selected TurboTax product. 
8. As a result, it will initiate the downloading process which will take time. Hence, you must wait for the same.
9. Meanwhile, it will prompt you to provide a preferred Download location. Hence, click on “Save As”. Then, click “Browse” and select a preferred location.
